× Beethoven heard Mozart perform once in his life. He wasn't impressed, writing that he felt Mozart's phrasing to be "too choppy." However, like many composers of his time, Beethoven tried to imitate Mozart's incredible gifts of composition. Some would argue, Beethoven surpassed those gifts! Our Beethoven 250th celebration continues with performances of chamber music for piano and winds by both composers.
